11/18/2020 — WATER FOUNTAINS OFF
Water at the park has been turned off for the season to prevent pipe freezing.
Please plan ahead and bring your own water and water bowl for your pup.
*If you bring a water bowl for your dog to use please take it home with you or it will be discarded. Standing water attracts bugs and can spread germs.
9/14/2021 — KENNEL COUGH OUTBREAK & WATER BOWLS
A few park visitors have recently reported that their pups have come down with kennel cough. If your dog has ANY symptoms PLEASE keep them home until they are well as dog to dog contact is how it is primarily transmitted. *If you bring a water bowl for your dog to use please take it home with you or it will be discarded. Standing water attracts bugs and can spread germs.

7/12/21 - STORM DAMAGE UPDATE
The downed and hazardous leaning trees have ben removed and the park is back OPEN, however the fence still needs to be repaired so please use CAUTION in the marked area of the large dog section.
7/10/21 - CLOSURE DUE TO STORM DAMAGE
The park is CLOSED until trees can be cleared and fencing repaired - timeline for work is TBD. Donations are being accepted to help with repair costs.
6/21-22/21 - CLOSURE FOR TREE WORK
The park will be CLOSED on Monday 6/21/21 and Tuesday 6/22/21 for tree trimming.
4/24/21 — CLOSURE FOR PARK MAINTENANCE
The park will be CLOSED on Friday 4/30/21 and Saturday 5/1/21 for maintenance. Volunteers are needed Saturday anytime after 10am to help spread woodchips and do other cleanup tasks around the park.
4/9/2021 — WATER FOUNTAINS HAVE BEEN TURNED ON

12/17/2020 — WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY
We know many of you have pups who are ready to run and play in the snow, however please be advised that the parking area at Jared’s Dog Park will be one of the LAST areas plowed after a snow storm per our Agreement with the Town.
Once the parking area is plowed, volunteers from The Friends of Jared’s Dog Park will shovel the gate and walkway areas. *Please DO NOT try to push gates open through heavy snow as this can damage the gates and cause securement issues.
We will update everyone as soon as the park is ready for use after each storm.
